TUS expands global reach with launch of Mexico City office

The local TUS technological university has added to its global reach with the opening of a new office in Mexico City.

TUS said the opening of its LATAM (Latin America) office in the Mexico's capital underscored its commitment to global education and collaboration.

The office opening was marked recently with a reception in Mexico City.

A statement from TUS said this strategic move represented "a significant milestone" in its mission to "foster international partnerships and provide unparalleled educational opportunities to Latin American students seeking to study abroad".

Located in the vibrant heart of Mexico City, the TUS LATAM office is due to serve "as a pivotal hub for fostering academic and research collaborations between TUS and institutions, organisations, and individuals across Latin America".

By establishing a physical presence in the region, TUS is aiming to strengthen its ties with Latin American countries, deepen cultural exchange, and facilitate knowledge transfer in various fields of study.

"We are thrilled to announce the opening of TUS's LATAM office in Mexico City," said Donnacha McNamara, VP of International at TUS.

"Latin America holds immense potential for academic collaboration and innovation, and our presence in Mexico City underscores our commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships in the region.

"Through this office, we look forward to engaging with students, scholars, and industry leaders across Latin America to drive impactful research, exchange knowledge, and shape the future of education together."

The launch of the office was attended by Irish Embassy representatives, TUS leadership representatives, Education in Ireland, and influencers in education from across Mexico.

TUS is also celebrating a new partnership two universities in Latin America, the Universidad Panamericana in Mexico and UNIVA in Brazil.

TUS added that, by engaging with the diverse expertise and resources available in Latin America, it aims to create new avenues for cross-cultural learning and collaborative initiatives that address global challenges.
