Local dance academy to bring Wicked to Athlone

Shannon Dance Academy presents a modern take on the timeless classic The Wizard of Oz, hugely influenced by the popular Wicked musical.

The show, titled Dorothy's Wicked Adventure, is set to grace the stage at the Dean Crowe theatre on Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30.

This innovative production blends dance, storytelling and visual wonder in a re-imagined fairy-tale.

Featuring music by Lloyd Webber, Nathan Carter, Taylor Swift, Tchaikovsky, Saint-Saens and many more as well as excerpts from the musicals Wicked, Hocus-Pocus, The Wizard of Oz and and Edward Scissor Hands.

Join Dorothy and her friends as they journey to meet the Wizard and defeat Elphaba.

Shannon Dance Academy showcases the best of ballet, contemporary, hip-hop,lyrical and jazz from our adorable Baby Ballerina's to our exceptionally talented dancers.

The whole family will enjoy this breathtaking show.
