Garda witness appeal after Midlands crash

Gardai have issued a witness appeal after a serious road crash in the Midlands earlier this week.

Gardai are seeking witnesses to a crash that occurred just outside Longford town on Monday, April 21st.

The crash, between a car and a motorcycle, took place at Mullaghvoreen, Co. Longford, at approximately 6pm on Monday.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, was airlifted from the scene with serious injuries to the Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore, and later transferred to the Mater Hospital in Dublin.

A technical examination of the scene was conducted by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the L1127 between the GAA club and Ballymacormack Cemetery between 5.30pm and 6pm on Monday, April 21st, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
