'Boxer' to launch this year's Athlone Agri Show
On Thursday, May 1, Minister of State for the OPW Kevin 'Boxer' Moran will officially launch the 2025 Athlone Agri-Show at an event in the Bounty Bar and Restaurant at 8pm.
Agri Show chairman PJ Glynn will outline the very exciting programme of events that will take place on Sunday, June 15, on the beautiful and tranquil farm of Michael O’Donohoe, Garnafailagh, Athlone (Eircode: N37 V252).
With classes for horses, donkeys, ponies, cattle, sheep, goats, poultry, eggs, dogs, cookery, Arts & Crafts, photography, a food village, trade stands and children's amusements, there is surely something for everyone.
For the first time at the show, the top Country and Western Band 'Robert Mizzell and Country Kings' will perform live on stage from 2pm on Sunday June 15, with a spacious dance floor provided.
Remember it is Fathers Day on June 15, and what a lovely way to treat your Dad by bringing him along to the Agri Show, where he can dance with Mammy or enter the many attractions that will be on offer, like the Midlands Egg & Spoon Race with a big trophy for the winner.
The Athlone Agri Show organisers look forward to meeting all our sponsors and friends from the press, for what should be a very entertaining launch evening with music, refreshments and food provided.
