Seery's to host Customer Open Day

As it marks 40 years in business, Seery's Cash & Carry has attributed its success to the amazing local community.

It's a reciprocal relationship as Seery's has also been a strong supporter of local groups and organisations.

From local schools and sports clubs, to coffee mornings and fundraisers, the family-run business has shown its support to "almost every club and organisation in Athlone".

“Throughout the years, we have always supported local in every way we can," Director of Seery's Cash & Carry, Emily Seery said. "We are very grateful to the people and businesses of Athlone, who have always supported us in return.

"Two organisations particularly close to our hearts are the Southern Gaels, and Moate Golf Club, which my dad Oliver has been proudly involved in."

Seery's has also recognised its loyal staff as one of the keys to its continued growth.

“We currently employ 45 people from the Midlands area. There is a great mix of people between the long standing and the newer members of staff. There are generations of families working here."

As a thank you to the loyal customers for their support over the years, Seery’s is hosting a Customer Open Day Celebration on Friday, May 9, from 11am to 4pm.

Midlands103 DJ Carl James will be broadcasting live from the shop floor. There will be in-store refreshments, and the Excellence Food Truck will be on-site serving up delicious treats.

Customers can spin the Coca-Cola Wheel for a chance to win a 55” Samsung TV or one of ten hampers, and Seery's will also be launching one-day-only “May Day Deals” on the day.

“Many of our customers have been with us since day one, and have influenced the business in so many ways," Emily said. "We hope to see everybody on the day to thank them for their support over the last 40 years.”
