Connaught Street community to host open air theatre performance

The Connaught Street community will unite this weekend to host an open air theatre production at McNeill's Corner on Sunday afternoon (May 11), at 1pm.

Entitled 'Best Street in Town', the play, written by local historian Gearoid O’Brien, will be performed by Mount Temple Drama Group, under the direction of Rosaleen Heavin.

Preceding the open air performance will be live music from Shanie Mc at 12.30pm.

Admission to the production is free of charge with seating allocated on a 'first come, first served' basis.

This event is part of the All Ireland Drama Festival Fringe programme schedule and has the support of Westmeath County Council.
