Countdown on to Athlone 10-mile race in Clonown

Clonown Community Ltd will host the annual Athlone 10 Mile Run in Clonown on Saturday morning, May 17.

Always a popular event within the local running community, the Athlone 10 mile race will start in Clonown village at 11am.

Participants are guaranteed a very flat course noted for achieving personal best times, the race incorporating most of the route used during the formerly held Athlone Flatline half marathon.

It is an Athletics Ireland measured course with cash prizes for winners. This year there will also be an Athlone 10 mile bespoke medal for all participants.

Online registration, costing €28, is available until 6pm on Thursday (May 15), so check the Athlone 10 Mile Run Facebook page for further information at https://www.facebook.com/Athlone10milerun.
