Local upcycling group to host Creative Summer Programme for Young Makers

Local upcycling group Upcycle Textiles has unveiled its Creative Summer Programme.

Taking place at the Riverside Centre in Athleague, the camp is designed for ages 12–17, and offers young participants the chance to upcycle leftover textiles into unique projects, including a stylish tote bag.

Running from July 14–18, sessions will take place daily from 10am–1pm, providing an engaging, eco-friendly experience that promotes sustainable crafting.

With a focus on reusing and repurposing materials, CycleUp Textiles hopes to inspire young minds while fostering practical skills in textile upcycling.

CycleUp Textiles continues to champion sustainability, skill-building, and community engagement through initiatives that merge creativity with environmental consciousness.

Programme registration is now open, with spaces available at €90 per participant.

Interested families are encouraged to book early via cycleup.ie/shop or contact 089 986 8217 for further details.
