Westmeath Cumann na mBunscol finals set for next week

The Westmeath Cumann na mBunscol finals will take place at TEG Cusack Park next week - starting from Monday, May 19 and running until Thursday, May 22.

These finals always provide plenty of thrills and spills at Westmeath GAA headquarters, attracting huge levels of support from the young players' families and their fellow pupils.

The action will begin with the Division 3 camogie final between Scoil Chroí Naofa, Rochfortbridge and Gaelscoil an Choillín next Monday (2pm). The second final will see Scoil Eoin Naofa, Ballymore take on St Mary’s NS, Raharney in the Division 2 camogie decider.

On Tuesday, Drumraney NS, An Grianán NS (Mount Temple) and St Michael’s NS, Castletown Geoghegan will among the schools seeking silverware.

Next Wednesday's finals include two all-south clashes involving Tang NS, with Athlone's Coosan NS (Division 2 girls' football) and Kilcleagh NS (Division 4 boys' football) providing the opposition. Coosan NS are also in the Division 1 boys' football final in which they will face Holy Family NS, Mullingar.

The last day of action next Thursday will open with St Colmcille’s NS, Ballinahown facing St Michael’s NS in the Division 6 boys' football final. St Oliver Plunkett BNS, Moate and Tubberclare NS are also among the finalists, while Holy Family NS will take on neighbours St Colmcille’s, Gainstown in the Division 1 girls' football decider.

All the pairings are known with the exception of the Division 4 hurling final which will be contested by St Cremin’s NS, Multyfarnham, with their opponents yet to be decided - see below for the list of finals.
