Thy Kingdom come as Roscommon name team for Kerry clash

Roscommon senior football manager Davy Burke has named his starting team for the county's opening All-Ireland series fixture against Kerry in Fitzgerald Stadium Killarney on Saturday afternoon (throw in, 2.30pm).

The team will be captained by St Brigid's defender Brian Stack, Stack being one of four from the club to be named in the starting team, playing colleagues, Eddie Nolan, Conor Hand and Ben O'Carroll all listed to feature.

Roscommon return to senior football championship action following a four week hiatus as they strive for a positive start to their All-Ireland championship campaign.

Having comprehensively claimed the Munster senior football championship, Kerry are certain to provide stiff opposition for Davy Burke's charges, but a victory in the Kingdom would be an emphatic statement prior to Roscommon completing their Group 2 round robin fixtures against Meath and Cork.
