Athlone Boat Club is thrilled with the selection of Richard Heaslip on the Irish Under-19 team due to represent Ireland at the U-19 European Rowing Championships taking place in Poland this weekend, May 24/25.
Richard will take his place in the coxless four along with crew mates Daniel Crozier (Methodist College, Belfast) Tommy Little (Neptune) and Paul Schofield (Coláiste Iognáid).

This is Richard’s second time representing Ireland having competed in a single scull at the Coupe de la Jeunesse in 2024. Richard’s selection adds to Athlone Boat Club's excellent record of producing elite junior rowers.
"Since 2020, Athlone Boat Club has had numerous athletes selected by Rowing Ireland to represent Ireland internationally and with a busy summer ahead, we hope to see that proud record continuing to grow," said Athlone Boat Club, who has wished Richard and the entire team every success.
