Roscommon name team for crucial All-Ireland series clash
Roscommon senior football manager Davy Burke has named his starting team to play Meath in the All-Ireland series at King & Moffat Dr Hyde Park on Saturday evening (throw-in, 6pm).
The team shows one change to the starting team which were defeated by Kerry in their opening Group 2 fixture, Strokestown's Colm Neary replacing John McManus in defence.
The fixture is a repeat of the county's Allianz National Football League Division 2 encounter when the Royals triumphed by seven points and Roscommon will be hoping to reverse that scoreline as they strive to maintain a presence in this year's senior football championship.
Meath travel west with a positive mindset following their opening round robin defeat of Cork, a victory which eroded their Leinster final loss to Louth.
A win for Roscommon will return momentum to the Connacht side and give fresh optimism for championship progression with Davy Burke's charges playing Cork at a neutral venue in their final Group 2 fixture.
