Roscommon racecourse recognised at thoroughbred awards

Roscommon racecourse has received an accolade at the Irish Thoroughbred Employee Awards.

The venue was announced as the winner in the 'Racecourse' category in recognition of the facilities on offer to stable staff.

Chosen by the Irish Stable Staff Association, and based on a quality programme evaluation, Roscommon Racecourse won an Ani Mollereau trophy and €2,500 to be spent on upgrading facilities that will benefit stable employees.

The awards, which took place this week in the Keadeen Hotel Newbridge, are run in conjunction with the Irish Stable Staff Association, the Irish Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association, the Racing Post and equuip - Horse Racing Ireland’s education and training department.

The individual Irish Thoroughbred Industry Employee Award winners, supported by Godolphin, were:
