Athlone Chamber recognised at Chambers Ireland awards ceremony
Athlone Chamber has been announced as the 'Most Improved Chamber of the Year' at the Chamber Ireland Awards.
Hosted by Chambers Ireland and sponsored by Zurich, the awards, which took place in Killashee Hotel Naas, recognise the outstanding work of chambers of commerce throughout the country in supporting local, regional and national business.
Athlone Chamber CEO Tommy Hogan and President Regina Bushell were in attendance at the presentation ceremony where they accepted the award on behalf of Chamber employees, board and members.
Reflecting on the award, the CEO said it was reflective of the Chamber's "collective efforts".
"Our success in being named 'Most Improved Chamber' reflects the strength of our collective efforts. From forging deeper connections with local businesses to championing sustainable development goals, we have strived to create a Chamber that truly serves its members and the wider community.
"I want to thank our board, members, partners and the Chamber team for their dedication and support. This is just the beginning of what we can achieve together," the CEO said.
Chambers Ireland, in announcing Athlone Chamber as an award winner, said that the business driven member organisation showcased impressive improvement and continuous development.
"Athlone Chamber has seen the development of a new streetscape and investment in the town, particularly from an industrial aspect. In addition, the Chamber has experienced continued growth in its membership which has strengthened its ability to support local businesses and act as a voice for them at both local and national levels," Chambers Ireland said.
