Burke retains senior title as Conor Raleigh wins U16 event
Westmeath GAA Coaching and Games - Poc Fada
The Hill of Uisneach hosted the county Poc Fada last Saturday. Ringtown's Pat Burke retained his Senior title but only after a playoff with Castletown-Geoghegan's Peter Clarke. Both players completed the course in 7 pucks but Pat prevailed over a play off to seal his 13th success.
In the U16, Conor Raleigh of Brownstown impressively completed the course in 7 pucks, coming in ahead of Jonah Hassett (St. Oliver Plunketts) who came second on 8 pucks. Patricia Coote (Southern Gaels) was the camogie senior winner. We would like to thank the Clarke family and all the team in Uisneach for hosting and accommodating the Poc Fada.
Thanks to all the participants, spotters and helpers; best wishes to Pat and Conor in the Leinster Competition on June 28 on Mount Leinster.
