Westmeath player is LGFA Player of the Month

WESTMEATH star Sarah Dillon has been honoured with The Croke Park Hotel/LGFA Player of the Month award for May 2025.

The Milltown forward (23), was superb for the Lake County during their march to 2025 TG4 Leinster Intermediate Championship glory.

Sarah scored 1-4 against Laois on May 19 as Westmeath defeated Laois in the provincial decider – a victory which marked a first TG4 Leinster Intermediate title for the Midlanders since 2011.

And in the semi-final victory over Wexford, as Westmeath avenged their defeat against the same opponents in the 2024 Leinster Final, Sarah collected six points from play.

Sarah was also to the fore on Sunday June 1, notching three points against Down as Westmeath defeated the Mourne County in the opening round of the TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship.

Westmeath are qualified for the quarter-finals and will battle it out next Sunday, June 15, away to Tyrone for first place in Group 2 and a home tie in the last eight.

Sarah was presented with her award today by Sinead Chydzik, People & Culture Manager, the Croke Park Hotel.
