Leinster Poc Fada success for Southern Gaels player

Southern Gaels player Patricia Coote claimed a historic victory in the Leinster Senior Camogie Poc Fada competition held at Mount Leinster in Carlow last weekend.

Patricia represented Westmeath following her victory in the county competition. She will now take part in the All-Ireland final to be held in the Cooley Mountains, Co. Louth later in the summer.

This is a notable milestone for Southern Gaels Camogie Club which was only founded in 2023.

The Athlone based side have been making great strides since and followed up Patricia's win with a victory over St Oliver Plunkett's in the Westmeath Junior League last Sunday, with Patricia again staring and scoring 2-10.
