Horseleap NS celebrates sixth class graduation

Horseleap National School celebrated the graduation of their sixth class pupils on Wednesday, June 18, where they were treated to a cake and a ceremony to mark the day.

The graduation day was well supported by parents, family and friends of the school, where the school celebrated the achievements of pupils throughout the school year.

As part of their emphasis on exercise and wellbeing throughout the years, the school went on to achieve a third Active Schools flag.

On the day, sixth-class student Alannah Daly raised the flag, as she was recently awarded player of the year in her age division by Midland Warriors Rugby Club.

Horseleap Parish Priest Fr Joe Deegan, Principal Aine Groarke and Board of Management Chairperson John Holloway all spoke before the ceremony, followed by musical performances by the students.

A spokesperson from Horseleap NS said: “All of us here at Horseleap NS would like to wish the very best of luck to our students Alex Meares, Leo Gaynor, Vytis Kavaliauskas, Alannah Daly and Logan Convey as they move on to secondary school.”
