Westmeath hosts fourth Yoga Picnic

The Yoga Picnic 2025, Ireland’s premier one-day yoga and wellness festival, took place recently on the shores of Lough Ennell.

Founded and organised by three friends and yoga teachers - Mary Gardiner, Alice Harrison, and Katy Harrison - the festival transformed the picturesque Lilliput House into a peaceful sanctuary for the fourth year.

Building on the success of the previous years, this year’s festival showcased an expanded line up of international and Irish yoga teachers, holistic therapies, and new sustainable initiatives, ensuring an enriching experience for all guests.

The Yoga Picnic aims to make yoga more accessibly, offering an immersive and welcoming experience to all, regardless of their yogic know-how.

The 2025 edition of the festival welcomed an impressive line-up of international teachers, including Hannah Barrett (UK), Lara Heimann (US), Manasi Sridhar (India), Adam and Holly Husler (UK), Michael James Wong (US), and Celeste Pereira (South Africa). With twelve stages and up to eight contributors per stage, the choices were both abundant and varied. To help guests navigate the day, organisers curated themed “trails,” offering guided itineraries, though many chose to follow intuition and explore freely.

The festival showcased an eclectic mix of yoga classes, meditation, talks, food demos and more to over 1,500 attendees.

The Yoga Picnic was supported by Kia Ireland, Herology, Booking Hawk, Solaris Tea, Holder Eight, Somega, Kilbeggan Organic Foods, All About Kombucha and Be Kind.
