Athlone GAA hosts Frank Starken Memorial Golf Classic

Athlone GAA held a successful and enjoyable day at the Frank Starken Memorial Golf Classic on Friday, July 4.

This important annual fundraiser continues to play a key role in supporting the development of the club, as well as honouring the memory of a renowned figure.

Athlone GAA Chairman Fiachra McLoughlin said: “We’re very thankful to James and Eleanor Kilroy for their continued support through Kilroy Tyre Depot. Their contribution helps ensure the smooth running and continued success of this event. Their backing, along with the support of many other local sponsors, makes a real difference to the club. I also want to thank all our tee and prize sponsors whose contributions help bring this event together.”

Fiachra continued: “We also want to acknowledge the efforts of Mandy Ganly, Denis O’Sullivan, and Matt Scally, Executive Board members of Athlone GAA, whose hard work in the lead-up to and on the day ensured everything ran smoothly. “
