Developer behind new Moate estate backs local Tidy Towns group

The developer of the new Gort an Locha housing development in Moate recently made a financial contribution to the Moate Tidy Towns group in connection with the estate on Lake Road.

Ciaran Fitzpatrick of Fitzpatrick & Heavey Homes acknowledged the work of Moate Tidy Towns and noted the town’s welcoming atmosphere.

"We're delighted to support Moate Tidy Towns for the fantastic work they do in bettering the community," said Mr Fitzpatrick.

"Their team of volunteers do incredible work year-round—enhancing public spaces, promoting sustainability, and creating a welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike. It’s a pleasure to back such a committed local initiative."

He went on to describe Moate as a very welcoming town and said Fitzpatrick & Heavey Homes looked forward to completing more work in the area at a later date.

Some 22 of the new homes in the Gort an Locha estate were made available by Westmeath County Council through its affordable purchase scheme.
