Motoring school donates new defibrillator for Castledaly Community Centre

Fine Gael Cllr John Dolan has paid tribute to local driving instructor Mark Bradley and his family who have donated a defibrillator to be located at Castledaly Community Centre.

The Cllr said the new defibrillator was much needed as the previous device was no longer in working condition.

"Mark and his family offered to purchase a new device for the Castledaly Community Centre and I wish to thank them for their generosity.

"Hopefully, it is never needed but now we know that we have a locally accessible defibrillator that could save someone’s life.

"We are going to register it with the National Ambulance Service so if a local emergency call goes in from the area, they can direct them to this new defibrillator and it could potentially save a person's life," Cllr John Dolan said.

Recognising the great support his driving instructor business has received from Castledaly through the years, Mark felt it appropriate to make the defibrillator donation.

"When we heard about the old defibrillator having to be changed, we decided to donate a new one as a token of appreciation for the great support that the area has given to our driving school over many years," Mark said.
