Countdown continues to Athlone Town's second Champions League outing

Athlone Town will hope to replicate the scenes of their Cardiff City success when they host Croatia team ZNK Agram in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Women's Champions League in Lissywollen on Saturday, kick-off 4pm.

The club are hoping a capacity crowd will continue to support the women on their European journey and with less than 500 tickets available for the game, it appears that this will be the case when the game commences tomorrow afternoon.

A brace of goals from Roisin Molloy and solitary strikes from Izzy Groves and Hannah Waesch ensured the home team were victorious over the Welsh club on Wednesday night.

Should Athlone emerge with the victory tomorrow evening, they will face Icelandic champions Breiðablik in the second qualifying round of the competition.

Tickets are available for tomorrow evening's encounter and can be secured at the following link www.athlonetownafc.ie/uwcl
