Giant Ireland rugby jersey bound for Buccaneers RFC

Supporters of the Irish women's rugby team will have an opportunity to express their World Cup well wishes for the national team this weekend when a giant Ireland replica jersey visits Buccaneers RFC.

Ahead of the team's participation in the Women's Rugby World Cup, the giant replica jersey will be on display under the canopy in The Bounty Bar & Restaurant on Sunday, August 10, from 12pm-3pm where fans from Athlone and the Midlands region can sign their good wishes to the Ireland squad.

Buccaneers RFC is the the only venue in the Midlands where fans will have the opportunity to sign the giant replica flag so all rugby supporters are encouraged to visit the canopy and pen their well wishes.

Three former Buccaneers players, Anna McGann, Ivana Kiripati and Faith Oviawe, are members of the extended Ireland panel.

Ireland start their World Cup campaign with a Pool C fixture against Japan on August 24. They then play Spain on August 31 before completing their round robin phase of games against New Zealand on September 7.
