Local woman is All-Ireland bread baking champion

A local woman has been crowned All-Ireland Bread Baking champion.

Ballycumber's Rose Egan scooped the award at the All-Ireland Bread Baking Championship held at Castleblayney Agricultural Show on Monday, August 4.

Rose qualified for the All-Ireland final from Athlone Agri-Show and the chairman and committee of the Athlone event have expressed their pride at her success.

The All Ireland competition was sponsored by Peter McMahon SuperValu Ltd, Castleblayney and the Irish Shows Association, with qualifiers coming from all over Ireland.
