Athlone Community College student claims RBK bursary programme award
Athlone Community College student Rebecca Keegan has been announced as the recipient of the 2025 RBK Bursary Programme award.
Rebecca visited the company's offices in Irishtown Athlone recently where she received the bursary towards her chosen third level education, the award also including an eight week internship with the accounting firm.
The Bursary Programme initiative was launched during the firm's 60th anniversary in November 2018 as part of the firm’s Environmental, Social and Governance Programme and is open to all leaving cert students.
Joe Cleary, the Managing Partner at RBK, stated that the company's role in the community extended beyond being chartered accountants and business advisers.
"One of our fundamental values is to actively contribute to the community by providing support to educational and community initiatives.
“As a training firm, we place significant importance on educating our staff and trainees, as well as attracting the most talented individuals.
"Additionally, we have made substantial investments in the latest technology, primarily to ensure a streamlined and cost-effective service and secondarily, to help our staff achieve a healthier work/life balance.
"The scholarship programme we offer is a testament to our commitment to promoting further education and nurturing promising talent," Mr Cleary said.
