Athlone Town launch limited edition women's home kit

In advance of their UEFA Women's Champions League second qualifying round fixtures in the Netherlands, Athlone Town have launched a new limited edition home kit.

The kit has been created in partnership with the global platform @whereisfootball, an inclusive community and creative collective exploring the cultural impact of the world's game.

The kit is set to be worn by the players as they aim to make further progression in the Champions League next week with the first of two mini-tournament games against Icelandic champions Breidablik UBK on Wednesday, August 27, at 12pm.

Ahead of the team's departure for the Netherlands Colin Firtune's charges face a crucial SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division top of the table clash against Shelbourne on Saturday night (kick-off, 7.35pm).

A win for Athlone Town will see the club return to top spot on the league table and serve as a momentum boost prior to the team's return to European action.
