Funding boost for Tuar Ard Arts Centre in Moate

Tuar Ard in Moate has received grant funding of €34,324 towards the upgrade and development of its Art Centre.

The Arts Centre is one of eight arts and culture organisations to be awarded Government funding under Stream E of the Cultural Capital Scheme, a €1.4m capital investment programme focused on enhancing the existing stock of arts and culture centres throughout the country.

The scheme focuses on enhancing the existing stock of arts and culture centres throughout the country and also welcomes projects that reduce an organisation's carbon footprint as well as projects that provide additional capacity for artistic production.

Announcing the grant funding, Minister for Culture, Communications and Sport, Patrick O’Donovan TD, said that the allocation awarded "was integral to ensuring the preservation of arts and cultural facilities around the country.”
