'King Of Chemo' Iain Ward stops at Abbey Hotel on latest fundraising mission
Irish fitness influencer Iain Ward, also known as the 'King of Chemo', has made local stops on his recent fundraising mission.
The Dublin native stopped off at Roscommon's Abbey Hotel today (Wednesday) as part of his latest fundraising with hopes of breaking the world record for raise money and awareness for cancer research.
Mr Ward, who was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in 2019, has so far completed 25 half-marathons in 25 days. He aims to break the world record for most money raised for charity ever.
Taking to social media, Mr Ward wrote: "Roscommon went surprisingly well, we had to start late, so I had to run it, but I was flying by the end. another half-marathon completed and this one I ran - with kilometre 20 at 5:30/min pace!
"I have raised over $500,000 over the last four years for a variety of cancer charities, and I won't stop until that world record is mine. Cancer doesn’t take a break, so why should I."
