One unsuspecting Mount Temple couple were in for a surprise on Saturday, August 16, as their wedding officiant Fr Joe McGrath wished them a 'Wonderwall' wedding.

Fr Joe McGrath spent four years in Mount Temple, before moving to a parish in Cavan in August of last year.

The spirited priest burst into song during the ceremony, which fell on the same weekend that Oasis performed two sold out shows in Dublin's Croke Park.

The stunned congregation sang along joyfully, as the priest quipped "you weren't expecting that, were you?"

The clip, shared by TikTok user @RachelGriffinSinger, has amassed over 335.6k views on the video sharing platform, with commenters hailing Fr Joe as "exactly what the church needs" and "a priest that has the spirit".
