Famous singer's Roscommon hotel stay ahead of friend's wedding

The Abbey Hotel in Roscommon welcomed a famous guest last week when singer and songwriter Dermot Kennedy stayed for a night ahead of a friend's wedding the next day.

The 33-year-old Dubliner was a groomsman at his friend's wedding and stayed in the Abbey Hotel the night before.

Prior to leaving for the nuptials he was happy to pose, in his wedding tuxedo, with members of staff from the hotel.

Kennedy is about to embark on a tour of more than 20 shows across Europe and North America in September, October and November, with all of the shows already sold out.
