Man with serious injuries after Moate crash

A man in his 60s was brought to hospital by air ambulance yesterday after a road-traffic collision in Moate.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a two-vehicle collision on the Dublin Road, Moate, and Clara Road junction at approximately 5.25pm yesterday.

One of the drivers a male aged in his 60s was taken by Air Ambulance to The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital to be treatment of serious injuries.

Gardai say no other injuries were reported and that their enquiries are ongoing.
