Leinster School of Dance took home two Golden Dance awards this past weekend.
The Golden Dance Awards took place on Saturday, September 13, in the Castleknock Hotel in Dublin.
Hosted by Dancing With The Stars James Patrice, the glamourous awards ceremony welcomed dance schools from across the country to celebrate the passion, artistry, and dedication of dancers, studios, and organisations.
The awards were founded by dance professionals Catherine Hughes and Danielle Hughes Quinn, and included a judging panel of Footstorm co-creator Darren Casey; Director of Taaffe Training, Sean Taaffe; Award-winning professional dancer Kylee Vincent; Ukrainian professional dancer and choreographer, Inna Mazurenko; and Award-winning Ballroom and Latin American dancer and a celebrated judge on RTÉ’s Dancing with the Stars Brian Redmond.
Leinster School of Dance were nominated for 5 awards in total, taking home both the Dance Parent of the Year award, and a Special Recognition Award.
"I couldn't believe it, it was absolutely amazing," said Shauna Coffey, owner of Leinster School of Dance.
"The Special Recognition Award was special, because it was for equality and inspiring ability. I have been working with people with neurodivergence for a number of years, we do that class every week, and to be awarded for that was amazing."
Shauna extended her thanks to the friends and families of the Leinster School of Dance for their continued support throughout the years.
