Yellow-level rain warning issued for Roscommon

A yellow-level rainfall warning has been issued for several counties, including Roscommon, overnight tonight (Tuesday) and into the early hours of Wednesday.

"Heavy spells of blustery rain," are expected, according to Met Éireann, which issued the weather warning for all of Connaught, as well as Cavan and Donegal.

The warning takes effect at 10pm tonight and remains in place for seven hours, until 5am on Wednesday.

The national forecasting service said potential impacts include: difficult travelling conditions, poor visibility and localised flooding.
