President’s Prize takes place at Glasson Golf Club

Glasson Golf Club hosted the President’s Prize competition on Sunday, September 7, under the stewardship of Club President Joe Spollen. Over 120 members competed in one of the most prestigious competitions on the club’s calendar in a shotgun start on the morning.

This year’s competition held special significance as it marks President Joe’s final year as President. To commemorate the occasion, he also formally presented his gift to the club members – a beautiful new starter clock, now proudly standing beside the first tee.

The day saw top-class golf, strong competition, and ended with prize giving and an evening of celebration of Joe's contribution to Glasson Golf Club. Club founder and former President Tom Reid and wife Breda joined the celebrations as special guests.

Stephen McVeigh of Glasson won the overall President's Prize, while Austin Hanley was the men's first prize winner and Pauline Clarke was the women's first prize winner.
