US company to set up Westmeath base, creating over 30 jobs

US company G&F Precision Molding has announced that it will be setting up its first Irish base in Mullingar, in a move which is expected to create more than 30 new jobs.

The company provides advanced manufacturing solutions involving injection molded silicone and thermoplastic parts.

It was announced this morning that it will be opening an engineering and sales facility in Mullingar, after receiving Government support through IDA Ireland.

IDA Ireland said the arrival of G&F Precision Molding "marks a new chapter in Ireland’s medical technology manufacturing landscape, as G&F brings Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) molding, a capability previously only available onshore through captive in-house operations, to the trade sector for the first time."

Welcoming the announcement, Enterprise Minister Peter Burke said: "This investment is a strong vote of confidence in the Midlands and in Ireland’s growing reputation as a global hub for MedTech innovation.

"The plans for over 30 high-quality jobs will have a meaningful impact on our local economy and community, and this is very much in line with Government regional development. I wish the G&F team every success in the future and look forward to working closely with them," added the Mullingar politician.

Ryan Mansfield, currently the Director of Business Development, will lead the new Irish facility after relocating from G&F’s Danvers, Massachusetts site. Mansfield brings over a decade of experience in polymer and silicone engineering as well as commercial leadership.

John Argitis, President, G&F Precision Molding said: "Establishing a presence in Ireland marks a significant milestone and reflects years of G&F’s commitment to building strong partnerships with our customers.

"I am grateful to our customers, my colleagues, and the IDA for their continued commitment to realise this opportunity. It is my intent that this foothold grows to become a significant member of the Irish life science manufacturing community."

G&F Precision Molding will have a presence at Booth 47 during MedTech Ireland 2025, taking place tomorrow and Thursday, September 24–25, in Galway Racecourse. More details about the company are available at gandfprecision.com
