Sheehan's Swansea to host Pep's Manchester City in Carabao Cup
Athlone's Alan Sheehan will pit his managerial wits against Pep Guardiola in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
The draw for the last 16 of the competition took place on Wednesday night, Swansea City playing Manchester City with a place in the quarter-final at stake.
Guardiola is recognised to be one of the most modern thinking coaches of the current era winning the Premier League title on six occasions with Manchester City.
Alan Sheehan’s side reached the last 16 courtesy of wins over Crawley, Plymouth and Nottingham Forest, reaching this stage of the competition for the first time in eight years.
The Swans will host the eight-time winners in the week commencing October 27.
The Swans previously hosted Pep Guardiola’s side twice in the FA Cup in recent years, most recently in 2021.
