Large turnout for Athlone Agri Show appreciation night
In recognition of their fabulous work in helping to organise this year's Athlone Agri Show, more than 100 guests recently attended an appreciation night in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel, where Paddy and Alan McCaul laid on a beautiful carvery for all present.
Athlone Agri Show chairman PJ Glynn thanked everyone for their work and commitment in making this year's show one of the best to date.
He was delighted to see a strong delegation present from the Moate Show, who have been great supporters of the Agri Show over the years.
He also announced that the AGM will be in November, and he would love to see some new faces from the organisations in the Athlone catchment area with young members involved in the Bovine, Equine and Ovine industries.
They are most welcome to attend meetings and air their views on what could improve any of the many sections of the Agri Show.
PJ expressed his gratitude to the hotel's management and staff for a lovely evening and thanked the 'Cowboy' for the music.
