Roscommon Pride a winner at LGBTQ+ community awards

Roscommon Pride 2024 was an award recipient at the GALAS, Ireland’s annual awards ceremony honouring the LGBTQ+ community.

Roscommon Pride, an annual three day event which celebrates love, acceptance and unity in the county, was named winner in the 'Event of the Year' category.

There was also nomination recognition for Athlone Community Radio's Christine O'Mahony who was one of four nominees in the 'Emerging Journalist' category.

Organised by the National LGBTQ+ Federation (NXF) and Gay Community News (GCN), the event boasted 15 categories as well as two special Lifetime Achievement recognitions, celebrating outstanding accomplishments in areas like activism, arts, allyship, sports, journalism, business and more.
