Ireland rugby international to appear on Friday's Late Late Show
An Ireland rugby international and a BAFTA winning actress are among the guests on Friday night's edition of The Late Late Show.
Andrew Porter, best known for his prop performances with Ireland and Leinster on the rugby field, will be in studio to chat about his new book 'Heart on My Sleeve'.
He will discuss losing his mother at a young age, his struggle with mental health following her death and why he has decided to share his deeply personal story. Andrew will also look ahead to the upcoming 2025 Autumn Nations Series and 2026 Six Nations tournament.
Bafta-winning actress Miriam Margolyes will sit down with Patrick for a no-holds-barred chat about her extraordinary career – from working with Hollywood heavyweights like Leonardo DiCaprio and Arnold Schwarzenegger to her most outrageous moments on and off screen. She will discuss why she believes sex, religion and politics are exactly what we should be talking about and why honesty is always the best policy.
Award-winning actor Damian Lewis, best known for his roles in Billions, Homeland and Band of Brothers will also be on the couch this week for his Late Late Show debut. He will chat to Patrick about his life on screen and how he recently turned his talents to music.
Pop legend Rick Astley will chat to Patrick about his surprise and joy at reaching over one billion streams on Spotify earlier this year. He’ll also treat viewers to a special performance of one of his biggest hits.
Comedy star Emma Doran will bring her razor-sharp humour to the Late Late couch this week, ahead of her highly anticipated Irish tour.
Irish soprano Celine Byrne will join this week’s line-up to chat about how a childhood footing turf and playing camogie led her to duetting with some of the world’s biggest stars on the most famous stages.
The Late Late Show airs at 9.35pm on Friday on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
