Athlone FRC to host Halloween family fun day at Athlone Regional Sports Centre
Athlone Family Resource Centre (FRC) is set to bring some Halloween magic to the town with a Free Family Fun Day at the Athlone Regional Sports Centre on Thursday, October 3 from 4p.m. to 8p.m.
Families can look forward to an exciting lineup of entertainment, performances, and creative activities suitable for all ages.
Highlights include the Enchanted Croí Theatre Puppet Show, featuring “The History of Samhain”, and Happy Faces Facepainting Ireland, who will dazzle crowds with magician shows and face painting.
Visitors can also meet some furry friends, as the Connaught Street and Environs Community Group will be bringing their popular alpacas for photo opportunities and meet-and-greets. Music lovers and young partygoers can enjoy the “Beat on the Street” Children’s Disco hosted by DJ Alan Boylan of All Star Party.
Creative fun continues thanks to the Athlone FRC Creative Hub Members and CYPSC Youth Forum, who are preparing a range of interactive attractions.
As the evening draws to a close, attendees can enjoy a breathtaking finale from 7p.m. to 8p.m., when the Wild Fire Performers return for a spooktacular fire-breathing performance.
Event organisers have expressed their gratitude to the Athlone River Festival Committee members, who will volunteer as stewards to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
A special thank you was also extended to Fáilte Ireland, Westmeath County Council, and Longford Westmeath CYPSC for their support in providing a safe and family-friendly alternative to bonfire activity on Halloween night.
