HSA investigating Monksland incident
The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) is investigating an incident at a workplace in Monksland yesterday (Wednesday) morning, which saw a man brought to hospital for leg injuries.
The incident involved a truck and a number of parked vehicles and occurred at a private workplace in the Monksland area. A Garda spokesman said a man suffered lacerations to his leg and was brought to hospital.
Gardai attended the scene and took details of the incident, which were then forwarded to the Health and Safety Authority for investigation.
In a statement to the Westmeath Independent, the HSA said: "The HSA is aware of the incident and has launched an investigation. As such, no further information is available at this time."
