Bust watermain causing supply disruption in area of Athlone

Uisce Éireann said a burst watermain is affecting supply to residents in parts of east Athlone today (Tuesday).

It said The Elms, Cartrontroy, and surrounding areas of Athlone were currently being impacted by the water supply disruption.

Repair works on the burst main are expected to continue throughout the day, with 5pm currently listed as the completion time.

Uisce Éireann added that a traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the works.
