Acclaimed photographer to give Athlone masterclass

Athlone Photography Club has announced a Portrait Masterclass with acclaimed photographer Mark Duffy, which will take place on Saturday, November 1, from 10am to 4pm at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel. This event is open to all members of the public to join.

Mark Duffy is a portrait and commercial photographer based in Dundalk, Co Louth, known for creating bold, expressive imagery that blends technical precision with a strong design aesthetic. With a background in graphic design, Mark brings a unique creative edge to portrait photography, balancing light, composition and character to craft truly impactful images.

Specialising in headshots, commercial portraits, and creative editorial work, he has collaborated with brands, professionals and creatives across Ireland.

His refined approach to lighting and storytelling has also made him a sought-after educator, helping photographers simplify complex techniques and develop their own visual style.
