Leinster School of Dance takes home national award

Moate's Leinster School of Dance has taken home the awards for Dance Performance of the Year at the Dance Awards Ireland.

Taking place at The Round Room at the Mansion House in Dublin on Saturday, October 25, the awards ceremony featured 12 diverse divisions and over 50 unique award categories, offering recognition for Ireland’s dance industry from professional companies and educators to community projects, sponsors, creatives, and emerging talent.

The Moate school won the award for its schools performance in the RDS Dublin in an event called Perform.

"It was a fabulous night and what an honour to have won an award for dance performance of the year," said Shauna Coffey, founder of Leinster School of Dance.

"It was also a great honour to be shortlisted for so many categories."

The local dance school had been nominated for Dance Studio of the Year – Industry & Professional Recognition; Dance Training Programme of the Year – Education & Training Excellence; Performance / Showcase of the Year – Performance & Artistic Excellence; Choreography of the Year – Performance & Artistic Excellence; Youth Organisation of the Year – Youth & Emerging Talent; and Inclusive Dance Programme of the Year – Well-being & Community Impact.

Shauna extended her thanks to the friends and families of the Leinster School of Dance for their continued support throughout the years.
