Total of 12 new gardaí from Westmeath and Roscommon graduate in Templemore

A total of 12 men and women from Westmeath and Roscommon became members of An Garda Síochána at a graduation ceremony which took place in Templemore last Friday.
Nine new gardaí from Westmeath and three from Roscommon were among 194 Garda recruits who graduated at a ceremony at the Garda Training College on Friday, November 14.
Justice Minister Jim O'Callaghan and Garda Commissioner Justin Kelly were in attendance, as well as Taoiseach Micheal Martin, and family members of the new gardaí.
Westmeath people to graduate included Caolan Naughton to be stationed at Kildare, Laura Varley to be stationed at Lucan, Senan Russell to be stationed at Leixlip, William Cruz to be stationed at Lucan, Darcy Lawless to be stationed at Newbridge, Michael McCormack to be stationed at Dundrum, John Gallagher to be stationed at Clondalkin, Alan Malynn to be stationed at Dundrum, and Claire Kelly to be stationed at Dún Laoghaire.
Three Roscommon native recruits also graduated on the day, including Michael Goulding to be stationed in Galway, Hilda Mulrennen to be stationed in Dundrum, and Jean Cashlin to be stationed in Ashbourne.
The Lake county will gain a total of three new recruits, including Catherine Antweiler from Galway, to be stationed in Mullingar, as well as Vincent McManus from Mayo and Conor Geraghty from Galway, both to be stationed at Athlone.
