Injury puts end to Henshaw's Autumn international series

A hamstring injury has ended Robbie Henshaw's Autumn international rugby series.

The Athlone native failed to make the matchday squad for Ireland's Aviva Stadium fixture against South Africa tomorrow evening (Saturday) at 5.40pm, head coach Andy Farrell confirming in his pre-match press conference that the centre had suffered a "hamstring tweak".

Henshaw started for his country in the successive series victories over Japan and Australia, culminating a fine display against the Wallabies with the final try of the contest.

In context of both displays it was expected that Henshaw would be named in the matchday squad for tomorrow's game but injury has now put paid to his opportunity to face the reigning World champions.

The team shows four changes to that which defeated Australia last week with Bundee Aki replacing Henshaw in the centre.
