Orange warning for wind now in place in this region

Met Éireann tonight updated its warnings for Storm Bram tomorrow, with Westmeath and Roscommon now under an orange level warning for wind.

This area has previously been subject to a yellow warning, but shortly after 9pm tonight, the national forecaster updated its warnings.

Fourteen counties are now under an Orange alert. These are Cavan, Clare, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Limerick, Longford, Mayo, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, and Westmeath

Met Éireann said Storm Bram would bring very strong to gale force southerly winds with severe gusts

Potential impacts include flooding of low-lying coastal areas, especially during high tide, wave overtopping, difficult travel conditions, debris, loose objects displaced, power outages, and outdoor events impacted

The orange warning spans from 10am to 9pm Tuesday.
