Buccaneers to host fun run on New Year's Day

Buccaneers RFC will host its annual 5km fun run on New Year’s Day with the proceeds raised being shared equally with St Hilda’s Services and the club.

As was the case with the 2025 edition of the fundraising event, the run will take place on the track at the Athlone Regional Sports Centre.

Registration commences at 11am with the run starting at 12 noon. You can race it, run it or simply walk it if you prefer.

Entry is €10 per adult and the family fee is only €20.

The club is hoping to see a big turnout to support two worthwhile organisations on the day and get 2026 off to flying start!
