Athlone Musical Society confirms dates for 2026 production

Athlone Musical Society has confirmed performance dates for its 2026 stage production of The Witches of Eastwick.

The Witches of Eastwick will run for five perforances in the Dean Crowe Theatre from Tuesday, March 3 until Saturday, March 7, with curtain up at 8pm.

The Witches of Eastwick is a musical adaptation of John Updike’s 1984 novel of the same name.

Set in the fictional New England town of Eastwick, the story follows three women - Alexandra (Alex), Sukie, and Jane, who are stuck in a monotonous, repressive small-town life. Each is frustrated and yearning for something more. More excitement, more passion and more meaning.

The musical blends comedy, satire, and pathos, ultimately telling a story about reclaiming agency, the cost of unchecked desire, and the power of female solidarity.
